Last Minute Halloween Costume Ideas for Groups
I’m sure most of you have experienced the frenzy of trying to put together a last minute Halloween costume. I know I have. This feeling of craziness is intensified when you are trying to put together last itsy-bitsy group costumes. Have no fear; I’m going to give you a few suggestions to help lessen your stress. These group Halloween costume ideas are idea for high school students and young adults, but some could be faded for younger groups.
1. Grease
This group costume opinion is fun, cute, and easy. Boys in this group will be the T-Birds. They will need blue or unlit jeans, black or white tight-fitting shirts, black sunglasses, greasy hair, a hair comb if desired, a black leather jacket, and tennis shoes (Converse would be perfect). Put it all together and you have the T-Birds. Now for the Pink Ladies costume. The girls will need white blouses, black Capri pants or a tight black skirt, a scarf for the neck, shoes, and a pink jacket. Ta-da! You now have the T-Birds and the Pink Ladies.
2. Old Couples
For this group Halloween costume you will need to make a trip to your local thrift store or raid the grandparents’ closets. You will need exaggerated outfits that old people would wear (Ex: floral dresses that resemble trash bags, pants that are too short but sit over your gut not below it, stockings, etc.). Props that old people could use will serve complete the watch. Examples of this would be canes, glasses, walkers, etc. You will also need baby powder or gray hairspray to make your hair look gray or white. Make sure you overdo your makeup with blue eye shadow and lots of blush. If you want, you can use pillows to add a booty or stomach to your character.
3. Alice in Wonderland
This group costume idea will probably require a stagger to the thrift store or for everyone in the group to look through their closets. Alice will need a blue dress, a white apron, white tights, and a murky headband. The Cheshire Cat will need a purple or pink horizontally striped shirt. For pants, you can use whatever you feel looks best. I suggest black leggings. You will also need cat ears and a tail. The Mad Hatter will need a bowtie and a hat. A vest would help complete the look but is not vital. The Queen of Hearts will need a red, black, or red and shaded dress. She will also need a crown. 4. Playboy Bunnies and Hef
This Halloween costume understanding works best if there is only one male, but it can work with more. One guy in the group will be Hugh Hefner. He will need shadowy satin pajamas and a red robe. A pipe will add to the costume but is not necessary. If there are other guys in the group, they can be mansion butlers. They will need sunless suits and a white towel to place over their arm. The boys will need cowboy hats, bandanas, boots, jeans, and a button up shirt. A lasso or pistol would add to the look. The girls will need brown sheets or cheap brown cloth.
